Amy graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pre Law with minors in Portuguese and Human and Family Development. She attended J Ruben Clark School of Law at Brigham Young University where she received her Juris Doctorate in 1997.
Amy is admitted to practice before all State and Federal Courts in Nevada. Amy is also licensed in California and Arizona and was admitted to the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States in March of 2019.
Amy has extensive experience in criminal law as a prosecutor in both California and Arizona where she conducted numerous jury trials with excellent results. Amy has also practiced in the area of criminal defense, landlord/tenant law, personal injury, and civil litigation.
Amy was appointed as a Judge Pro Tem in the Maricopa County Justice Courts in Arizona where she presided over criminal and civil cases from early 2009 until she relocated with her family to Nevada in July of 2012. In December of 2020 Amy was appointed as a Judge Pro Tem in the Las Vegas Justice Court.
Amy is fluent in Portuguese and enjoys golf, musical theater, travel, and spending time with her family.”
