Terms of Service

Agreeing to these terms

These terms apply when you use this website, the member dashboard at referral.probusinessconnections.com, or the Pro Business Connections mobile app (together, the “platform”). By using the platform or holding a membership you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

Pro Business Connections (“PBC”, “we”, “us”) is a business referral community. The platform is operated on our behalf by Sky Vista Consulting, LLC.

Who can join

Membership is for business owners and professionals aged 18 or over. Chapters generally seat one member per business category, so a category already represented in a chapter may not be open to you.

Applying does not guarantee membership. Applications are reviewed and approved by the leadership of the chapter you are applying to, and we may decline an application.

Membership, dues and renewal

  • Membership runs for an annual term. Dues are those published at the time you apply or renew, and are billed through our payment processor.
  • When you apply you may be asked to provide a payment card. It is only charged once your application is approved.
  • Membership renews annually. We will remind you before your renewal date. You can cancel from your account settings or by contacting us.
  • Cancelling stops future renewals. Dues already paid for the current term are not refunded except where we say otherwise in writing or where the law requires it.
  • If dues go unpaid your access to the member dashboard and app may be suspended until payment is brought up to date.

How members are expected to behave

The network only works on trust. As a member you agree to:

  • Deal honestly and professionally with other members and with anyone they refer to you.
  • Pass on only genuine referrals, and record their outcome accurately. Inventing or inflating referrals undermines every other member and is grounds for removal.
  • Treat other members’ contact details and the details of people referred to you as confidential, and use them only for the referral they relate to.
  • Not use the member directory, chapter chat or referral system to send unsolicited bulk marketing.
  • Attend your chapter’s meetings in line with your chapter’s attendance policy.

Chapter governance — including officer roles, elections and attendance requirements — is set out in the PBC bylaws, which apply alongside these terms.

What you post

You keep ownership of the profile text, photos, referrals, notes and messages you submit. You give us permission to store and display them on the platform so it can function — for example showing your profile to other members, showing a referral to the member it was sent to, and showing your name and business in the public member directory.

You are responsible for what you submit. Do not post anything unlawful, misleading, defamatory, or that infringes someone else’s rights, and do not upload a photo you do not have the right to use.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Share your login, or let anyone else use your account.
  • Scrape, copy or export the member directory or any member data other than your own.
  • Attempt to access another member’s account, another chapter’s data, or any part of the system you have not been given access to.
  • Interfere with the platform’s operation or security, or attempt to.
  • Use the platform to break the law.

Notifications, email and text messages

We send operational messages about your membership — referrals you receive, meeting reminders, election notices and billing notices. You can choose the channels for most of these in your notification settings.

If you give us a mobile number and agree to texts, message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out. How we handle your information is described in our Privacy Policy.

Suspension and removal

You can leave at any time by cancelling your membership and deleting your account. We may suspend or remove a member for unpaid dues, for breaching these terms or the bylaws, or for conduct that damages the chapter or the network.

When a membership ends, access to the dashboard and app ends. Referral and attendance history remains part of the chapter’s record, as described in our Privacy Policy.

What we do and do not promise

We provide a place for members to meet and exchange referrals. We do not promise any particular number of referrals, any amount of revenue, or any business outcome. Referrals come from members, not from us.

We do not vet, endorse or guarantee the work of any member. If you engage another member or someone referred to you, that is an arrangement between you and them. Any dispute is between the parties involved.

The platform is provided as it is. We work to keep it available and accurate, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, PBC and Sky Vista Consulting, LLC are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost profits, lost business or lost data, arising from your use of the platform or your membership. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the dues you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, United States, and the courts of Clark County, Nevada have jurisdiction over any dispute, without regard to conflict of law rules.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do we will change the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will tell members directly. Continuing to use the platform after a change means you accept the updated terms.
